At the heart of our ethos, we strive to go beyond traditional ideas of design, acknowledging that it's not merely about trendy colour palettes or fashionable furnishings. Central to our philosophy is crafting spaces that perfectly embody the unique lifestyles and desires of our clients, where each design narrative is as personal as it is aesthetically pleasing.

Creating sanctuaries that incite conversation and celebration, we blend elements of varying styles to craft timeless, distinctive spaces that radiate comfort and luxury. Every detail is infused with meticulous attention, underscoring our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.

We enrich spaces with curated artworks and antiques, each with its own allure, imbuing every project with a life and energy of its own. This layered approach to design leads to spaces that aren't just visually appealing, but are engaging, vibrant and truly lived in. This distinctive design approach forms the pulsing heartbeat of Lauren Gilberthorpe Interiors.

Because I realised that what makes a design experience truly individual is relationship. Your relationship with one another, our relationship with you (as we get to understand your personal style and sense of story) and above all, your relationship with your home. This is what informs our original designs.

We don’t want to make you look like another Instagram home or a styled magazine spread. It’s not about looking like a show home, but creating a soul home, and that is what we aspire to, a space that’s styled for you, an effortless blend of beauty and simple sophistication.

What we’ve learnt is that real homes have real heart.

GEORGIE

DARCIE

Georgie’s growth and development as a designer has mirrored that of LGI as a business. Georgie started out with us for a work experience week and never left! She has become our most experienced designer with a forensic understanding of the design process and the company values. With an excellent eye for colour and a good grasp on how a space needs to look and feel, Georgie is fantastic at bringing our visions to life.

With a degree in Interior Design from Falmouth University, she not only has the knowledge but she’s also the nicest person to work with. Always the first to be putting client care at the core of the project, she is sunshine personified.

With a passion for decorating and a love of colour, Louise is happiest with a paintbrush in her hand by day and a book by night. Organised and efficient, approachable and adept at multi-tasking, Louise is in charge of making sure the studio runs like clockwork and the projects are perfectly planned out. A penchant for bold patterns and buildings with a sense of story, Louise spends her spare time restoring her 1930s home and creating a hub that has friends and family at the heart.  Always on the go, you’ll usually find her pottering in the garden or hosting family gatherings and serving up her famous roast - how many vegetables can she cook to accompany roast dinner? Lots!

Process

OUR

PREVIOUS

NEXT

In the pivotal concept design phase, we craft layout possibilities and mood boards, beginning to shape the future of your space. This stage serves as a deep dive into your unique style and practical needs, helping us to design a space that feels genuinely like home.

Concepts

01.

In the subsequent design phase, the culmination of our joint efforts in the concept stage becomes tangible. We present comprehensive designs, including sample boards, schedules, and detailed specifications for all aspects of the house. This encompasses architectural details, furniture specifications, and an itemised estimate for all proposed LGI-supplied elements.

Development

02.

In the final stage of our process, designs and specifications transform into tangible reality. Our specialised trade partners carry out any on-site tasks, including picture hanging and curtain fitting. Alongside this, we coordinate with our white-glove delivery partners to ensure a seamless installation of furniture at your property, completing the vision we crafted together.
