On 14th January 2017 we’ll be hosting the next LGI Interior Design Workshop and I have to say, I am so excited for it! It is such a great way to spend a day with likeminded (interiors-obsessed) people in a gorgeous location with delicious food. Following on from feedback from the last workshop, we’ll be keeping the really popular elements of the workshop, which focussed on the floor-planning (we’ll teach you an easy way to draw to scale!) and the importance of creating a mood board for your space. We’re going to add in a longer section on how to choose paint colours as this is something that a lot of people find really overwhelming and, by popular demand, we’re going to do a section covering where to shop!
People brought scribbles, plans and photographs of their own homes and projects and we make sure there is time during breaks to take a good look and discuss advice for the best solution. What I loved is that everyone got on so well and there were so many great tips flying around the room from people that had came across similar hurdles and design dilemmas.
We held the last workshop in October at the stunning Barn at Upcote and the venue couldn’t have been more perfect for the day, the light in the space is beautiful and perfect for looking at paint colours and fabrics.
We’ll also be working with Siobhan Wolton who created a gorgeous spread, with slow cooked Gloucester old spot pork, Cerney goats cheese with fresh figs, Cotswold bee honey and walnuts accompanied with fresh vegetable slaw and wild rice. To finish, we had fresh fruits and chocolate nibbles. Just writing this is making my mouth water! The food was a real hit, I love working with Siobhan.
We still have some places left for the workshop on 14th January – to find out more about the day, click here.
AND….finally, with Christmas coming soon, we have some rather fabulous gift cards to send out for those that would like to buy a ticket for a loved one. If you’d like to book – click here – and make a note on your order that you’d like a gift card and we’ll get one out to you in time for Christmas!
